An old fashioned style pumpkin spice soda made with pumpkin spice syrup and topped with whipped cream!
Hey guys. The recipes are back! Went a bit there without one, but they are back with a bang! I know, I know. I jumped on that trendy “pumpkin spice” train. So sue me.
Well, I believe our late Summer/early Fall travels are officially over. I enjoyed every bit of every second, but I am ready to cuddle up with hot toddies and crock pot dinners! Does anyone have a snuggie? I’m feeling like I need one this year.
So, this soda is a bit out of the ordinary for this here blog, mainly due to the fact that it is SWEET! And I mean, like sugary soda sweet, not like, cool rad awesome sweet. Although, it’s that too. Sweet all around! Think pumpkin spice cream soda. It took a few times to get it right. The first round ended up with a weird sweet slime instead of syrup. I’m talkin thin GAK style slime. Remember that stuff? Not sure what chemistry I was cooking up with that, but in the end I found a truly pumpkin spice flavored syrup perfect for soda. SWEET!
You can use this pumpkin spice syrup for anything really. Coffee, tea, pancakes. Anything you would want to sweeten up and add pumpkin spice flavor to. Wait…… now my brain is thinking up all SORTS of things! HA! Pumpkin spice hot toddy? Too far?
Want me to shut up about pumpkin spice already? 🙂
I just had to add this next photo. It is the aftermath of the photoshoot, when all of the whipped cream had melted. I thought it was awesome. And the soda was pretty damn tasty with all that whipped cream melted into it. YUM!
