It seems like there's always a bag of fresh or frozen cranberries in your home around the holidays, right? Bags start to appear in the grocery stores at the beginning of fall, and are often overlooked as a wonderful fall fruit. They are much more versatile than you might think.
Cranberries are great for much more than just cranberry sauce (although it never hurts to make a batch of jellied cranberry sauce to have on hand, or better yet cranberry sauce with bourbon).
If you're like me and you have some fresh cranberries stored in the fridge or freezer, try fresh cranberries in your holiday baked goods, smoothies, sauces, stews or roasts, baked fruit or veggies, or even in your booze.
It's time to get that bag of cranberries leftover from Thanksgiving and make some of these amazing recipes!

Here are ten favorite cranberry recipes to try with that bag in your fridge or freezer! I have listed the amount of cranberries that you need for each recipe. Feel free to use fresh cranberries or frozen cranberries. Whichever you have is great.
1. Refreshing cranberry smoothie
This naturally sweetened cranberry smoothie will be so refreshing and vibrant after all of that Thanksgiving food! You'll need ½ cup of cranberries.
Moist and delicious, this pumpkin cranberry bread is made with dark rye flour so it's super flavorful. You'll need 1 cup of cranberries.
It sounds a bit odd, but this cranberry chili is absolutely delicious! It's tart, yet cozy with cinnamon and cocoa. You'll need 2 cups of cranberries.
4. Cranberry dark chocolate clafoutis
This seasonal/holiday spin on the french clafoutis with cranberries, dark chocolate, and pecans would make the perfect holiday breakfast! You'll need 1 ⅔ cup of cranberries.
5. Cranberry orange infused bourbon
Why not add some cranberries to your bourbon and infuse it! You'll love the cocktails you can make with this one. Or give it as holiday gifts. You'll need 2 cups of cranberries for a large batch, but any amount you have on hand will work.
Use those cranberries to make a glaze! This recipe is for vegan meatballs, but you can use the glaze on any protein you'd like. You'll need 1 cup of cranberries.
These crispy, old fashioned buttermilk pancakes with cranberries and cinnamon would make the perfect holiday breakfast. You'll need ¾ cup of cranberries.
