Refreshing red grape wine popsicles recipe! The amazing red winesicles are frozen red wine on a stick for hot summer days.
Know what? I’m drinking a glass of red wine while I’m writing this post. WHOA! CRAZY! In a glass that says “you are magic” on it. Yes, yes I am magic. Because I put frozen red wine on a stick and called it a wine popsicle! HUZZAH!
Know what else? There’s a storm a brewin. A delicious Valentine’s day treats storm! I’ve got several prepared guys. Probably way too many. So…. now ya know. Be prepared. For the storm. Of treats. This is one. FYI.
The thought for these came to me when I was drinking a glass of concord grape juice and thought, “red wine in this would really make it a whole lot better.” Um…… maybe that was, like, every drink actually, but grape juice! You need some wine! So, I had grape juice. I had wine. I had grapes. I’m freaking on it guys.
So, I feel a bit ridiculous sharing this as a “recipe” when it is clearly just freezing store bought juice and wine. But, you know, it can be easy sometimes right?
One thing to note: These melt FAAAAAST! Really fast. That wine in there: it’s hard to keep frozen. So, let’s just say, don’t wear a cute white dress while eating these mmmmmmmkay?
- 2 cups small red grapes
- 2 cups grape juice I used concord grape juice
- 1 cup bold red wine I used malbec
- Fill popsicle molds evenly with grapes.
- Stir grape juice and wine together and pour over grapes in popsicle molds.
- Freeze for 1 hour, then add popsicle sticks.
- Freeze for at least 8 hours or overnight.
- Remove from popsicle molds and store in plastic baggies in the freezer.
