Ingredients

  • 1 sugar cube*
  • 2-4 dashes blood orange or angostura bitters
  • 4-5 leaves fresh rosemary (just leaves, not sprigs)
  • 1 medium blood orange
  • 2 shots gin
  • ice
  • 1 slice blood orange and sprig of rosemary (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place sugar cube in a cocktail glass. Top with bitters and rosemary and muddle until sugar is broken down and dissolved as much as possible.
  2. Squeeze the orange and juice into the glass until all of the juice is released. Be careful not to get seeds in your cocktail.

  3. Top with gin and stir to combine.
  4. Add ice and garnish with a blood orange slice and a rosemary sprig

Recipe Notes

*If using the blood orange bitters and rosemary sugar cubes**, reduce bitters to just a few dashes and rosemary to just a few leaves.
