The best eggnog recipe ever! This homemade eggnog is spiked with bourbon and spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg. The most wonderful holiday cocktail!
In a small bowl, beat the egg yolks and ½ cup of the sugar until thickened.
Gently stir in the whipped cream with the yolk mixture. Fold in the egg white mixture.
Gently stir in the milk, bourbon, vanilla, cinnamon, and ⅔ of the freshly ground nutmeg.
Pour into a serving bowl or punch bowl and chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve. To serve, top each glass with a small pinch of the remaining ground nutmeg.
