¾ cup yogurt of your choice, 1 cup pitted sweet dark cherries, ¼ cup unsalted raw walnuts, 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup (optional)
Pour into 2 glasses and enjoy.
- If you like banana in your smoothies, go ahead and add one!
- You can add some flax or chia seeds for added protein.
- If you're using fresh cherries, add a handful of ice.
- You can omit the maple syrup or swap it for your favorite sweetener.
- Swap the walnuts for your almonds or your favorite nut butter if that's what you have.
- Be sure to use sweet cherries and not pie cherries. I like frozen dark sweet cherries.
- Make the smoothie vegan by using your favorite plant based yogurt or coconut milk.
- If your smoothie is too thick, thin it out with a bit of water.
- If your smoothie is too thin, try adding more yogurt or frozen fruit (or a banana).
