Ingredients

  • ¾ cup yogurt of your choice
  • 1 cup pitted sweet dark cherries fresh or frozen
  • ¼ cup unsalted raw walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  • Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
¾ cup yogurt of your choice, 1 cup pitted sweet dark cherries, ¼ cup unsalted raw walnuts, 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup (optional)
  • Pour into 2 glasses and enjoy.

Notes

  • If you like banana in your smoothies, go ahead and add one!
  • You can add some flax or chia seeds for added protein.
  • If you're using fresh cherries, add a handful of ice.
  • You can omit the maple syrup or swap it for your favorite sweetener.
  • Swap the walnuts for your almonds or your favorite nut butter if that's what you have.
  • Be sure to use sweet cherries and not pie cherries. I like frozen dark sweet cherries.
  • Make the smoothie vegan by using your favorite plant based yogurt or coconut milk.
  • If your smoothie is too thick, thin it out with a bit of water.
  • If your smoothie is too thin, try adding more yogurt or frozen fruit (or a banana).
