Ingredients

  • 4 ears corn on the cob, shucked.*
  • 1 cup water
  • optional toppings: butter, salt and pepper

Instructions

  • Pour the 1 cup of water into the Instant Pot. Place the trivet insert or steamer basket insert into the pot.
  • Stack your corn inside the pot.
  • Close the lid and set the steam valve to sealing. Select "pressure cook" at regular high pressure for 2 minutes.
  • When the timer goes off, manually release the pressure by moving the steam valve to venting. Hot steam will come out. When the float valve goes down, open the lid and remove the corn with tongs.
  • Serve with butter, salt and pepper, and your favorite corn on the cob toppings. (optional)

Notes

*If your ears of corn are too long, cut them in half. You can make as many or as few as you'd like, as long as they fit below the max fill line of your Instant Pot.
In a 6-quart Instant Pot, it took 10 minutes for the pot to come up to pressure. The total closed lid time is 12 minutes.
