Ingredients

  • 4 Tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 2 Tablespoons minced shallot
  • 3-5 large garlic cloves, peeled and smashed
  • 6 cups packed broccoli rabe, trimmed and roughly chopped (about 1 bunch)
  • ¼ medium of a lemon for squeezing the juice
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  • Heat the olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium heat to medium high heat. Add the shallot and sauté until fragrant, 1 minute. Add the garlic cloves and sauté, stirring constantly for 30 seconds.
  • Add the broccoli rabe and sauté, stirring often, 10 minutes, or until the rabe has wilted and cooked down to your liking.
  • Squeeze the lemon juice onto the greens and season with salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy!
