Sautéed green beans and peas with mint and basil

Easy 15-minute sautéed green beans recipe! This spring or summer vegetable side dish is a simple green bean and pea sauté with a sprinkle of fresh mint and basil. Can be grilled too!

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ lb fresh green beans trimmed
  • ¼ cup fresh or frozen peas thawed if frozen
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 teaspoon minced fresh mint leaves
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  • Heat the tablespoon of oil in a non-stick skillet over medium high heat. Add all of the beans and sauté until browned and almost tender, about 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add all of the peas, and cook until just tender, about 2 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and season with salt and pepper. Top with all of the mint and basil.
  • Serve immediately.
