Pureed prunes with cinnamon

Naturally help your baby’s digestion with this homemade baby food recipe! Quick and easy pureed prunes with cinnamon are naturally sweetened, and taste absolutely delicious.
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 15 minutes
Total Time 30 minutes
Servings 1 cups

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened prunes
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 6" cinnamon sticks, broken into 2-3 pieces

Instructions

  • Bring all ingredients in a saucepan to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool 10 minutes.
  • Discard the cinnamon sticks and puree the prunes with the boiling liquid in a food processor or blender. This will take a few minutes, and possibly a few stirs to get all of those prunes pureed. If needed, add more water a tablespoon at a time.

Notes

I like to give Rhubarbaby about a tablespoon of pureed prunes with dinner each night. I keep a few Tbsps of this puree in the fridge and freeze the rest in small batches. An ice cube tray works great for freezing small amounts!
